isimiz detay ve iletisim isi-- o nedenle olmazsa olmaz bir takim sartlar var. lutfen dikkatli okuyun. eger bu sartlara sahip degilseniz lutfen basvuru yapmayin:

1. mukemmel ingilizce yazabilmelisiniz. "derdinizi anlatmaniz" yeterli degil. hakikaten mukemmel yazabilmeniz gerekiyor.

english:

looking for new york area based summer interns for a legal practice concentrating on high profile immigration law. our practice is exciting-- we represent world-class artists, entertainers, academicians, professionals, etc. we handle their immigration paperwork.

that being said, a background in law is not necessary. you will not be working as an attorney. my assistant or i will explain you the law and the legal framework if and when necessary.

what we are looking for is someone who can write immaculately, is an excellent researcher and is not afraid of hard work.

depending on our circumstances, the internship may evolve into a full or part-time professional position at the end of the summer.

the "must have" qualifications are simple:

1. you must be an excellent writer

2. you must be able to gather and analyze complex information and explain your findings in precise, elegant and comprehensible prose

3. you must be an excellent researcher

4. you must be able to handle pressure and deadlines

5. you must have excellent work discipline.

your educational background is not very important if you possess these qualities. i had immense success with students of engineering and sciences in similar internship positions. however, the best candidates i worked with in the past came either from journalism or creative writing programs.

an example of what you will be required to do:

i will assign you the "writing" segment of an artist or academicians outstanding ability visa application. let's say that the artist is a "professional retoucher". or the academician is a "biomedical engineer". i will give you sample recommendation and case letters. using their format, you will be required to write letters. to accomplish that:

- you will need to fully understand what that person does and what the industry is like (you will need to do independent research for this);

- you will need to deduct what makes someone "outstanding" in that field/ industry by assessing their accomplishments and track-record based on the industry standards you will find;

- you will research their backgrounds and the backgrounds of comparative peers, as reference;

- using the information you gather from your research, you will draft letters explaining who they are, what they do, why they are "outstanding", what sets them apart, why they are great assets for the US, etc.; and

- you will assure that the letter is comprehensible to a civil servant who may not know the first thing about the person and their industry, using extremely persuasive and impressive arguments (which i will assist you with brainstorming).

at the end of the day, you must think about yourself as if you're writing a very impressive bio, geared towards lay-people, for that individual.

therefore, the skills i listed above are a must... if you feel you do not posses them, then you should not apply.

however, if you are confident that you posses them then you can greatly benefit from this internship: it is a great opportunity for networking and for learning about very diverse industries and people. even if a legal practice may not be your career goal, this experience will nevertheless broaden your horizons immensely. even if it is not your goal, you will leave the intership with the ability to think and analyze like a lawyer-- for better or worst...

depending on the circumstances and the candidate, it can be a part-time or full-time internship opportunity. also, depending on the circumstances, telecommuting may be permitted.

other than the writing assignments, you will also be required to undertake routine office tasks.

if you feel this is the right opportunity for you, please email your CV and a writing sample to beskardes@gmail.com please note that if you pass the pre-screening, you will be required to take a writing test at our offices.

thank you very much for your interest!
